CoolKit, the largest manufacturer of temperature-controlled vans in the UK, will be exhibiting some of its latest innovations and exclusive products for the food delivery and pharmaceutical logistics markets at the Cold Chain Hub, a new dedicated sector-specific event running as part of ITT Hub 2022 from 11 to 12 May at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Taking centre-stage on the company’s stand will be the cab of a Maxus SIAC eDeliver3, an electric light commercial van (LCV) designed to maximise payload and performance through aerodynamic design and lightweight aluminium and composite materials. CoolKit’s eDeliver3 will feature a specially converted chassis demonstrating the first 21st century custom-built electric powered milk float created for its customer, The Modern Milkman, which allows for silent delivery of sustainably packaged fresh produce and a battery range of more than 200 miles.

Commenting on the show, Rupert Gatty, founder and CEO of CoolKit, said: “CoolKit is recognised by OEM’s, fleet funders and operators alike as the foremost specialist in the industry, providing customers in-house designed and built solutions to complex transportation problems which optimise vehicle productivity whilst minimising owning and running costs.

“We’re excited to be exhibiting at the Cold Chain Hub. After a break from industry shows during the pandemic, we can’t wait to get back out there and showcase our latest innovations. CoolKit has recently pioneered electric vehicle conversions for LCVs, addressing the challenges of payload, range and total costs of ownership that vehicles of this type present, and we’re delighted to be able to showcase the Maxus eDeliver3 customised for The Modern Milkman.”

Also on display at the CoolKit stand will be two self-powered portable refrigerators from Italian-based manufacturer, Melform. As the exclusive distributor for Melform in the UK and Ireland, CoolKit will be demonstrating how the sustainable Koala Green 140 and 1000 can support the transportation of perishable goods without breaking the cold chain and help businesses reduce their carbon footprint. A new use-case will be revealed using ORBCOMM’S temperature recorder system, which enables the remote monitoring of temperature to ensure compliance, reliability and safety.

Gatty added: “The Melform portable units are perfect for those who require the safe transport, or storage of goods, in either chilled, frozen or hot temperatures, but who not need a full temperature-controlled vehicle conversion.

“Our experts can support any business need and can tailor additional features including Bluetooth control and mobile App monitoring. We have recently partnered with global Internet of Things solutions provider, ORBCOMM, to leverage its temperature dataloggers to ensure maximum performance and reliability for our customers, and we’ll be showcasing an exciting example of what can be done at the ITT show.

“We really do have something for all businesses operating within the food and pharma logistics cold chain and we look forward to meeting everyone at the event.”
